Creative H & I - vivienne westwood branding
Although Vivienne Westwood is in the fashion industry I was interested recently to read that she heavily uses graphic design through her branding process to promote her label and its ideas. She employs an in house group of graphic designers who she uses to put her ideas forward to promote her label ideas and to promote both herself and the way she promotes her designs. Westwoods main logo of the orb surrounded by a Saturn ring manages to bled both the traditional and futuristic ideals of her brand effectively; and I was also interested to read how she uses different logos for the different lines she creates, such as the 'MAN' line that uses the idea of pre historic man using Stone Henge to create the letters of the word man.
